I did not add additional salt when I sauteed the meat because canned soups tend to be a bit salty on their own. I used eight oz. fresh chopped baby bella mushrooms instead of canned, the full can of beef broth (just to make more "gravy") and fresh ground pepper to sense of taste. I served this over buttered egg noodles. I did non try this myself simply my family thought it was nifty. NO leftovers. This was very simple and came together in xx minutes, from start to finish.

Everyone enjoyed this. I did change things a little...I sauted the onion in a little butter and olive oil until tender, and so added the mushrooms (I used fresh - 1/two sliced white push and 1/2 sliced babe bellas) and sauted those until all moisture was gone and so added the minced garlic and sauted for 2 minutes. I and so deglazed with the white wine and allowed to simmer until the pan was well-nigh dry. This mixture was removed from the pan and fix aside and the ground beefiness was added to the pan and browned. So the mushroom mixture added back in. I mixed the flour with 1/2 cup of beefiness stock and added that to the skillet and and so ii cans of mushroom soup and one.5 the amount of beefiness broth (I used stock) called for in the recipe and a splash of Worcestershire. (Also seasoned with Salt and Pepper along the way). Allowed this to simmer for approx. 10 - 15 min and served over wide egg noddles. Very tasty weenight dinner.

Very simple yet very tasty! My family raved. We didn't accept wine then I used water. Side by side time I'd cut back some on the onions and I Dearest onions.
07/25/2005
Lovely recipe - the white vino addition actually makes this dish. Even though ground beef is used it actually tastes much more elegant. I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned merely because I had them. Succulent.
03/14/2006
Really good! Increased the broth to a full can & increased the worchestershire sauce to ii tbsps for a richer gustation.
08/24/2007
I was merely looking for something quick and easy to practise with ground beef, and instead I've institute my husband's new favorite meal. The only thing I inverse was instead of white wine I used Marsala cooking vino. I didn't take any onions, so I used dried minced onions. I served it over fettucini noodles, but I think it would exist better with egg noodles, or even macaroni. It was crawly!
11/fifteen/2006
I used 1lb ground turkey (that'due south what I had). I used fat complimentary foam of mushroom soup and corn starch (what I had) and an entire can of beef broth. I didn't accept worchestershire, so I used soy sauce. I still felt that it was bland, so I added some garlic powder, more black pepper and a modest splash of mustard. All in all it was very skillful. The well-nigh picky eater (my married man) had two bowls and said he would swallow information technology 'occasionally'. The higher student, kindergartner, toddler, and I all enjoyed it. I will go along it and make it again! Thank you!

This was a very good tasty way to utilize ground beef and ingredients that usually are available in the cupboard. Instead of using canned mushrooms, I used fresh mushrooms that I sauteed prior to adding them to the browned meat mixture. To reduce the fat content, I drained the browned meat mixture, used reduced fat soup and substituted the butter for olive oil. I would recommend this recipe for anyone who is looking to make a quick repast with ground beefiness.

This recipe is definitely a "do-over," although I found we needed to add extra table salt at the tabular array. You might desire to increase salt to one/2 teaspoon. Also, I tuckered the fatty off of the meat even though the recipe didn't indicate to practice so.
02/27/2007
This recipe was very good. It is great for a quick week nighttime repast.
02/21/2011
This was very tasty! I used what I had on paw, so used french onion soup (canned) instead of beef broth, fresh mushrooms, and steak cut into strips instead of ground beef. Didn't take any Worcestershire sauce either, and so added a dash of A1. The pans are empty (barely plenty for my lunch for tomorrow!), so looks like it'southward a keeper at my house!
07/25/2006
We loved this so much we ate it for four sequent dinners.

09/23/2014
Used this recipe because I didn't have sour cream on mitt. I skipped the table salt and used 10.5oz of beef broth. I also was a little liberal with the Worcester sauce. Loved it!

Information technology turned out cracking!! I was looking for a quick recipe to whip up earlier I head to work and this was perfect. Its quick, easy and tastes bully. In lieu of chopped mushrooms, I used chopped eggplant and in lieu of worcestershire sauce, I just seasoned the meat while frying it with all purpose seasonings. It provided enough flavour and paired well with the cream of mushroom and wine.
12/26/2013
The flavor was ok only way too much flour that fabricated it gooey and the meat was too tough.
01/05/2011
for every bit piece of cake every bit information technology is, it tastes great. good weekday option
03/07/2010
Very prissy without the sour cream. We used Sirloin steak instead of the basis meat. Cooking time was extended to insure meat tenderness. The mushroom soup and wine added a actually good flavor to the dish. I would recommend to anyone interested in a quick, uncomplicated, meal. We served with broccoli, side garden salad, and hot crescent rolls. 2010-03-05.
09/14/2009
This was very good, and easy, despite my picky boyfriend not wanting footing beef. I subbed top round, thinly sliced. I ditched the salt, considering I used white cooking wine which is very salty. I did shop specifically for this recipe, then I found myself wanting (and lacking) a little fleck more than beef stock while information technology was thickening. I used water, and it seemed okay. Thanks for sharing!
05/04/2013
I used fresh mushrooms (they're always improve) and chicken broth (considering that's what I had). Came out delicious!
01/11/2012
Toddler LOVED it, I thought it was tasty, picky husband ehh he ate information technology, only not super thrilled ;)
01/01/2006
Sorry, this just wasn't very good. It was too thick, likewise salty, and we didn't like the flavour of the wine.
01/05/2011
My married man LOVED this! Information technology was very good and super easy to brand!
08/18/2011
Loved it! Very filling! Succulent over a bed of steamed cabbage and egg noodles. I used leaks instead of onions for a more mild taste. Made it for my family twice in two weeks. They even liked the left overs :) Thanks!

I wanted to effort this because I can't have sour cream but love beef stroganoff. I don't continue white vino on hand and then I used half a cup of beef broth instead. I too used a whole tin of beef broth to add in instead of the half can called for, and garlic salt rather than garlic cloves. Once everything was cooked and mixed together I wasn't so certain nearly it. Information technology looked besides much similar hamburger helper, and while I have nothing against HH, if I'm cooking it'south because I desire something other than HH for once :P It likewise lacked in colour then I added a large handful of stale parsley flakes. However, information technology did taste ameliorate than expected, mostly due to the Worcestershire sauce. I added in a very liberal "nuance", stirred it in and let it melt for a few minutes, then added in an as liberal 2nd nuance. It was decent, I volition at least consume the leftovers. However, if I make it again I'll probably use beef strips and fresh mushrooms, and peradventure experiment with a few additional seasonings.
04/26/2020
So good! I brand ground beefiness stroganoff regularly from my own recipe. I didn't have whatever sour foam then searched all over for a recipe that didn't need it. Instead of beefiness broth I used a packet of beef boullion and a cup of milk. I used fresh instead of canned mushrooms. Otherwise followed recipe. It's delicious and I volition attempt using wine instead of sour cream again.
08/eleven/2006
I thought this was good, not great. I did employ low-fat, lower common salt cream of mushroom soup. I used ii lbs. of ground beefiness, two cans of the soup, a whole 10 oz tin of beef goop and 3/4 cup of white wine. I thought it needed some more than spice, so I put about a ane teas of dried thyme in information technology. Yet, my husband loved it, and then I will make it once again. I think I volition try red wine next time, perhaps that volition go even better with the beef.
12/02/2009
Meh, kind of gloopy and my husband wasn't enthused.
09/12/2005
very bland, far to thick. By the time I added enough liquids so that it could be served - the recipe had doubled.
12/20/2009
Very easy to make, I made it for my cousin'southward bbq and past the end of it there was none left =) I would definitely make again.
09/10/2011
this turned out succulent, I actually added frozen hash brown murphy'south to it, and it was all devoured. Calculation the wine was a expert telephone call!
05/23/2007
Hey, I am trying to cook light so the "No sour foam" attracted me to this recipe. To make this even lighter I replaced ground beef with lean ground turkey; used manifestly yogurt instead of butter; wheat flour instead of white flour and mixed regular egg noodles with whole wheat egg noodles. It still tasted great! Enjoy cooking light :)
04/01/2009
Hubby enjoyed information technology and it was sooooooooo much easier to make than the original recipe I have.
05/19/2016
I made this concluding night and had to brand some changes due to what I had on hand. Used Marsala wine instead of white (non gonna lie, I had white but I was drinking information technology lol) won't do that once more, I am not a big fan of marsala wine only information technology turned out ok, I only recollect it would have been better with the white. I didn't have an onion then I threw in some dehydrated onion, this worked out fine. I ended up using penne pasta instead of the egg noodles and that was fine too. I did use more than garlic then chosen for just because I love garlic. Last I didn't mix the flour with the liquids, I sprinkled it over the meat afterward browning and cooked it a little more than then added all the liquids this way in that location were no lumps and information technology thickened up very squeamish. Overall information technology turned out pretty good and will definitely make again only for certain using the white vino. This is a quick and easy recipe to make and gustatory modality pretty good.
09/19/2014
Very good sauce and quite tasty. I had some pork cutlets that I cubed in lieu of basis beef. I likewise added 1/two t. of Tarragon to enhance the sauce. We both thought is succulent and are looking frontward to eating the leftovers.
12/22/2014
The simply I inverse was using red wine instead of white!! SO GOOD!!!
01/07/2014
Very easy!!! Used ground sausage instead (didn't have beefiness). Turned out FAB!!!
09/28/2006
Very good...I just added some parmesean cheese right before serving
02/02/2012
Wonderful, quick, simple and tasty recipe! Information technology as well works with ground pork and chicken broth when you desire a break from red meat.
09/23/2008
The ground beef created a dish just like Hamburger Helper, which is not a favorite of mine. It besides was visually unappealing. If I effort again, I will apply sirloin strips.
09/14/2005
This was a good recipe and would suggest it to anyone who is looking for something quick and hearty to serve a family. My husband and kids ate it right upwards/
01/22/2020
Delicious
08/12/2015
Amazing season. I left out vino & added more than worchestershire & pepper to give it more zip. Family unit loved it & unproblematic :)
08/xxx/2006
Really good and easy. But I did add sour cream. Had some in the fridge and needed to employ it soon. But all in all I loved the outcome and will use it once again. Over noodles of course.
05/02/2010
You could taste the wine in information technology which I didn't really call up you would exist able to. I don't call back I will make this one once more.
12/18/2016
so glad I found a decent beef stroganoff recipe with no sour cream. I sauteed onions and garlic in butter/olive oil as another reviewer suggested. next i added 1/2 cup white wine and allow it reduce. then I added beef, chicken broth (non crazy about beef broth) cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper and wostechire sauce. let simmer for 10-fifteen minutes and adjusted seasoning with a touch more salt, pepper and sauce. i found i didn't need flour to thicken. Very tasty!!
03/29/2010
This was exciting because it used upwards a can of cream of mushroom soup left over from the green bean casserole holiday tradition. We used fresh mushrooms and beef bullion cubes as balmy substitutions.....pretty tasty.
06/12/2012
This was good if you are a hamburger helper fan. I enjoyed it only didn't think it was the all-time. I would have given three stars just my husband loved information technology and is still eating leftovers the 3rd twenty-four hour period! Lol I omitted the mushrooms because we are not a fan. I used slightly more than than half a tin of beeth broth. I found the the taste of the beefiness broth overwhelming so I ended upwards diluting with about 1/4 cup water. This fabricated for the perfect creaminess. Calculation the Worcestershire at the end is a must!
02/twenty/2010
Bang-up recipe! Some things I didn't have like, the can of mushrooms, vino, Worcestershire sauce or garlic. I used 3 Tbsp of flour and added skim milk to thin the mixture a chip since I wasn't putting in wine. I used garlic seasoning in place of the garlic clove. Delicious!!! I poured the gravy over cooked rotini noodles! YUM!!!!

Let me get-go off by saying, we just moved and I am very limited on what I take to work with in the kitchen correct now, so I had to brand changes and improvise. Just, this recipe deserves 5 stars because it was the base of our amazing dinner, perfect for those days when you have to work magic to put a repast together. These are the changes I had to make. I had to skip the onion and garlic, I don't have whatsoever even so, non even powder. I didn't have white vino or beef broth, so I used chicken broth for both. And lastly, I don't have Worcestershire sauce nonetheless, but I have steak sauce, and then I used a splash of that. I served it with buttered egg noodles, and it was awesome. Everyone gobbled it upward and asked me to make it again. I do want to try the recipe the manner it's written also though. But, if y'all're in a bind, similar me, this recipe is perfect because information technology allows adjustments with whatever you have on hand.
x/08/2009
easy and yummy with no sour cream!
02/02/2009
I was pleasantly satisfied with this recipe. I thought I would miss the sour cream, simply I didn't I used a niggling extra of all the seasonings and the stroganoff was very flavorful and creamy. The only alter I made was that I used steak instead of hamburger and vegetable broth instead of beefiness. My family really enjoyed this meal. One reviewer said it tasted like Hamburger Helper and I agree, simply felt better about making this recipe rather than the processed pulverisation in HH.
05/14/2008
I really like this recipe! I omitted the mushrooms considering my children don't like them. Like another reviewer, I also increased the beefiness broth to 1 cup. I also didn't accept any cream of mushroom on hand, so I used cream of golden mushroom. I served it over egg noodles and both kids including a picky eater ate information technology!
09/20/2009
I thought this was skilful.. However, dont use beef stew meat or it will not go tender enough to eat...
x/06/2009
Was it merely me or did this come out creamy white and not like the moving picture at all!? I think the picture must be wrong. Overall, a pretty skillful recipe considering I didn't have whatsoever sour cream. It could use a picayune more taste. Mine seemed a piffling bland then I added actress garlic, pepper and worcestshire sauce. Keen. A adept recipe to have on hand.
02/sixteen/2017
Nice recipe and will definitely brand it once more. I changed a couple things.... I didn't apply vino (super expensive where I live), I used beef strips Instead of basis beefiness, and a cream of mushroom instant packet (which I mixed with water) instead of cream of mushroom soup. Next fourth dimension I would likewise apply fresh mushrooms, not canned.
01/01/2016
apply water instead of wine and flank steak instead of basis. It was very expert, my grandkids all loved it......
10/05/2020
Love this and will brand again- I used A1 instead of Worcester sauce since my family does not intendance for it.
02/04/2018
Not as flavorful as I would like
03/24/2016
This was pretty skilful. I never use canned mushrooms tho. I have also made it with small meatballs using worchestershire and beef stock to soak the fresh staff of life for crumbs. Information technology has always been a fav. of my son.
03/29/2016
I take looked for a recipe for beefiness stroganoff that my family unit would like for years. I made this ane last night and anybody was going back for more!!! Definitely one I will make over again and once more! I did not have white wine and then I used water instead and it was yet great. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
06/21/2009
Go out out the wine and this will still exist a good dinner.
xi/28/2018
I used ii lbs of footing beef which I browned and strained showtime. Then cooked about 14 oz of fresh mushrooms & the chopped onion in butter. Reduced the flour to 3 T. Used proportionally more of the other ingredients due to the 2 lbs of ground beef. Other reviews found it also "white" but cooking the mushrooms generated a prissy colour for the dish.
02/04/2019
A bit banal. Adding more pepper next time.
12/xiii/2008
Awesome recipe my family adored it, including my inlaws who are usually very hard to please (were talking about how expert information technology was the next mean solar day!) I simply added some garlic pulverization and a few turns from the pepper mill. Other than that i followed information technology exactly and it was perfect! Definetly family fave now.
x/09/2007
This was edible, but certainly non good. My married man ate information technology. He said information technology was good, but he will always exist nice when it comes to comments on anyone's cooking. I ate function of mine, just couldn't eat the residuum of it.
06/28/2016
This was great! I fabricated some changes- I used thinly sliced steak instead of beef, only added 8oz beef stock and no foam of mushroom. I put it over zucchini noodles. Thanks for the recipe!
01/24/2021
Made as is. Tatsed great.
02/fourteen/2009
i inverse this one a bit. i used cubed stew meat, and burgundy cooking vino. it was and so delicious, i would definitely consider serving this to dinner guests.
05/02/2016
Followed the recipe to a tee, except used less flour and during the simmer at the end I added dark-green peas, chopped asparagus, sliced jalapeno pepper as I like information technology spicy, and a shot of sherry. Deeelish!
04/23/2009
This was okay. I tried information technology bc I wanted to do something with ground beef other than lasagna or spaghetti or meatloaf. But I didn't have sour cream, thus I used this recipe. I used ziti pasta. I'd make this once again, just its nothing to write home about.
08/28/2008
I was looking for a style to use up some left over roast beef with a gravy and some noodles and this fit the bill perfectly and information technology was A+++ delicious. I didn't make any other changes to the recipe.
08/27/2009
Very practiced. Everyone liked
02/thirteen/2021
Used this as a rough guideline for the dish... My first business was the amount of meat called for. Does anyone keep ane/two lb packages of ground beef in their freezer? I just used two lbs and then I didn't have a small amount of beef sitting in the refrigerator with no purpose. We like meat, a little extra never hurts. The second consequence I came across, is that the beefiness would have been way over done and dried out if I browned information technology showtime then continued to cook information technology with the veggies. So I removed the meat from the pan until the veggies were cooked to my liking, so mixed the meat back in. Third problem... I don't personally know anyone who keeps white wine on hand for cooking. (I know similar 1 person who keeps it in her firm for drinking.) I chose this recipe considering I didn't have sour cream and was looking for an alternative. Afterwards a footling research, I decided to substitute milk for the liquid the wine would take added and 2 or iii tablespoons apple tree cider vinegar for the slightly sugariness "twang" I would imagine the wine would have given to the recipe. Fourth problem I faced is that it was instantly too thick after adding the ingredients called for to the pan. Even afterwards using the whole can of beef broth information technology was pretty thick. And not creamy enough. I ended up calculation a lilliputian extra milk, and black pepper. ALSO did not add Whatever salt, as the soups both take a lot of sodium already. I ended up being able to set the dish so it was pretty delicious, merely it was much different than the recipe here by the e
09/21/2009
It tasted like hamburger helper--that'southward fine at least I know what'due south in it! Just it was and then visually unappetizing that I could non cease eating it. Really pale, white and grayish. I don't know how the higher up photo looks so good--maybe they left out the flour?
02/22/2006
Made according to directions, and was truly impressed. I had reservations about the wine, but used information technology anyhow, and I'1000 glad I did. Fifty-fifty my 4 year old liked it!
03/12/2009
No complaints on the recipe, I've e'er liked stroganoff but I hate sour cream then I was more than excited to find this recipe. I usually make it with whatever wine I feel similar throwing in there, red, marsala, or white, and it's good with all three. I omit the mushrooms, simply proceed everything else pretty much the same. this recipe is 1 that made it into my personal recipe notebook, first-class!
04/08/2020
Added more cream of mushroom and used fresh mushrooms.
12/07/2008
I really like this recipe! I dear beefiness stroganoff, but don't make it considering my son has a dairy allergy. This is so practiced, like shooting fish in a barrel, tasty, non expensive and non totally unhealthy with lean meat. I used corn starch instead of flour, fresh mushrooms considering I don't like canned, chicken broth instead of beef because I didn't have beef broth, and fifty-fifty with all the substitutions it was really adept. I'll make this a lot!
02/16/2008
This was are a really bang-up, fast, familty meal!
01/x/2010
don't utilise frozen, thawed meat/ flavour the meat well while browning......super good
05/21/2009
An easy, quick, and tasty repast. And information technology makes plenty of food when you double the recipe... good for college students.
05/03/2010
for how easy this is, it is astonishing! I used fresh mushrooms and it came out so flavorful and delicious.
09/05/2009
Made this recipe using our leftover meatballs instead of the ground beef. Volition apply this recipe again. Adjacent fourth dimension I'll exist more conscientious when I add the wine/flour mixture...mine went lumpy..oops! (-: Thank you for the no sour foam stroganoff! (we about never take sour cream in the house)
01/28/2010
I forgot the mushroom soup just it nonetheless worked and was extremely tasty
04/twenty/2015
